Ronnie wins !

Ronnie Griffith has started his 2010 season on a winning note by capturing the indoor 55m hurdles at the Christopher Newport Open in Virginia on Saturday December 5th 2009.

" I feel good about my win! It was the first meet of the season and I like the fact that I have started with this win!"

When asked if he felt he could've ran faster, his reply was a resounding "YEAH!"

Also competing at the meet were two other athletes from Rising Stars. First timer Dwayne Layne was a credible fourth in the 400m with a time of 53.03 secs and World Championship representative Ramon Gittens who was third in the 200m.

Another Barbadian athlete also at this meet, triple jumper Jamal Cumberbatch placed 5th with a distance of 14.40m.

Well done fellas!!
