3 times 2

It is almost felt that when the athletes from RST&FC aren't competing, the atmosphere at the National Stadium is all gloomy. Saturday ( 31-01-090 was no exception.

Three athletes wearing the orange and black had wins in their respective races with one obtaining a "B" qualifying time for the Carifta Games.

Kenrisha B won the Open Women's 100mH in 14.79s going under the 14.85 standard, she was well ahead of first year hurdler Ricktya W ( 18.31). She had earlier won the 60mH in 11.70s.

The U-17 Boys hurdles are shaping up to be an epic between 2008 Carifta 100mH finalist Raphael Jordan and the ever improving Rhys Phillips. In the 100mH, it was Rhys over Raphie by a "shoe"( according to the loser) in a time of 14.49 - 14.51. Rhys' second victory was the in 400mH where he outran fellow clubmates Adrian Howell ( 1:00:99) and Antoine Williams( 1:04:50).

The third double winner was Deondray Richards in the U-15 division. Running against another RS athlete Todd Lavine, he won the 60mH in 12.31 to Todd's -12.72. Deondray also won the 80mH with Todd placing second. His lone defeat was in the 300mH.

Tyrell was second in the Open 100mH - 15.23.

Read the above and realize that with these results, it looks like it was a Rising Stars training session.
